    Abstract:

Sink-associated multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) infection is primarily caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacilli. The utilization of waterless care can reduce the incidence of such infections and colonization rate, halt outbreaks, and decrease the usage of antimicrobial agents. This paper elucidates the mechanisms of sink-associated MDRO infection, sink configurations and utilization conditions, as well as relevant intervention measures, and expounds the procedures, implementation effect, and implications of waterless care, aiming to provide reference for related research and clinical practice.
